Why choose a consultant for your Risk and Compliance?

Why choose a consultant for your Risk and Compliance?

With 15 years’ industry experience under our belts, the team here at Agility Risk and Compliance get asked several questions on a regular basis:

    • Why should I outsource my Risk and Compliance, HR or Health and Safety?
    • What benefits will it bring to my company?

There was no better person to ask than our HR Consultant Lorna Baker! Here, she will explore the reasons why “asking the experts” shouldn’t be a second thought and will save you time, money and your reputation.Working with a consultant doesn’t mean you’re working with someone who’s so far removed from your business, they can’t possibly understand the ins and outs.

It’s far from this with Agility Risk and Compliance. We pride ourselves in getting under the skin of your business to understand you, your staff and your business aims. Don’t worry – we won’t be nosey or judgy! As an external company, we can provide an objective practical approach that is fully balanced and compliant whilst offering best practice advice and guidance. The notion of sourcing a consultant to support a company has gone past the old-fashioned view that only companies with big budgets do this.

The facts are this: with the changing face of business, there is a growing demand for new information. How businesses respond to this requirements often demands expertise external to their organisation.Trained in a specific field and knowledgeable about the changing face of industry, consultants are at the forefront of changing demands, external influences, and legislation.

This expertise provides business owners with the underpinning knowledge to be compliant but add value to their workforce at an affordable price – without the headache of adding additional employees.

We appreciate that buying risk and compliance solutions isn’t the most exciting of purchases. However, mitigating risk to you helps your business flow and ensures you can head into the office without a daily worry.

By choosing Agility Risk and Compliance, we guarantee that we’ll be your ‘go to’ team for every requirement. You won’t need to shop around for your compliance needs. We have everything under one roof.

Risk and compliance can be a scary minefield and leave you asking hundreds of questions. “What do we need to do to be compliant?” “What training do our employees need?”and “Am I meeting the latest changes in legislation?”.

We’ll point you in the right direction, allowing you the chance to concentrate on your business. With having consultants in place, you’ll be provided with the failsafes to mitigate both employment and health and safety risk to your organisation. In the long run, we’ll save you both money and time – vital things to ensure the success of your business.

Is training really necessary for my workforce?

Of course, the answer to this question is always yes

According to the Association for Talent Development (ATD) companies that offer comprehensive training programs have 218% higher income per employee than companies without formalised.

training. Does that seem scary to you? It shouldn’t – because training successes don’t stop with higher employee wages.

Companies who do offer formalised trained enjoy a 24% higher profit margin than those who spend less on training. It would seem that continuing to invest in training and development, even when there are economic downturns, is a must. Upskilled workers lead to an upturn in business.

In another recent national survey of over 400 employees spanning three generations (Baby Boomers, Generation X, and Millennials), 70% of the respondents indicated that job-related training and development opportunities influenced their decision to stay at their job. Millennials had the most significant results, with 87% of them citing access to professional development or career growth opportunities as being very important to their decision of whether to stay in their current role or relocate.

Alongside this, a long-term research project commissioned by Middlesex University for Work Based Learning found that from a 4,300 workers sample, 74% felt that they weren’t achieving their full potential at work due to lack of development opportunities. That’s a high statistic of around 3,200 workers; imagine nearly three quarters of your workforce feeling like they weren’t progressing and, as a result, not putting in full effort every day!

So, who should you ask to undertake your training? There’s only one answer.

Here at Agility Risk and Compliance we have trained over 20,000 people in 2019 from all over the UK in all manner of fields. Alongside our on-site training programmes, we spend a great deal of our time working side by side with HR teams and compliance officers to guide them through the ever-changing face of legislation and laws.
