Asbestos was extensively used as a building material in the UK from the 1950’s through until the mid-1980’s. It was used for a variety of purposes and was ideal for fireproofing and insulation. Any building built before 2000; houses, factories, offices, hospitals and even schools can contain asbestos.

Agility’s half day Asbestos Awareness training course ensures that delegates have the correct knowledge when working in environments where asbestos may be present.

Course Content

The Asbestos Awareness course will ensure delegates;

• Understand what asbestos is
• Be able to list the uses of asbestos in the building trade
• Identify where workers may come across asbestos in their work
• Explain the procedures for dealing with asbestos
• Are compliant with legislation, avoiding possible litigation in the future

Assessment & Certification

With our Asbestos Awareness Training course, there is no written assessment. A certificate of attendance will be issued for your records.
