Our Emergency First Aid at Work course is recognised by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and is mandatory for anyone who wishes to become a designated first aider in the workplace. This 1 day course is an introduction to first aid at work and provides a good insight into first aid procedures required for low risk workplaces. The course combines theory and realistic scenario practice, where attendees will learn the skills and knowledge to provide emergency first aid treatment in their workplace, in a prompt, safe and effective manner.

Anyone within your organisation that is a nominated Emergency First Aider.
Course content
This course is carried out over 1 day and includes:
• First aid regulations
• Managing an incident
• The priorities of first aid
• Treatment of an unconscious casualty
• Resuscitation
• Shock / Choking / Seizures / Bleeding
• Common workplace injuries
Assessment & certification
Delegates will be continuously monitored during the day and complete a multiple-choice assessment. Each successful delegate will receive a certificate that will be valid for 3 years and must be renewed if you wish to continue to act as a first aider in the workplace. Annual refresher training is recommended.
