Agility Group have left the local community feeling sweet with a series of culinary activities raising money for causes in Worcestershire over the last year.
Organised by Office Manager Sarah James, the 38 strong team has been busy throughout the county running tuck shops in house, baking cakes for local and international causes and giving up their free time to work at community gardens and animal rescue shelters to raise vital funds and help charities flourish.
Whilst some members of the team have been piling on the pounds – quite literally – for charity, other have volunteered at WARS (Worcestershire Animal Rescue Centre), Fortis Community Gardens in Droitwich and The Basement Project – which supports homeless youngsters across the county.
Even when the team are back at their desks, Sarah has ensured that fund raising doesn’t have to stop with a selection of colourful and fun events.
Sarah has helped raise awareness for Easter Egg-Stravaganza and an Easter egg collection for disadvantaged youngsters across Worcestershire. And various cake sales to raise money for Tickled Pink day, Breast Cancer Research, don red noses for Red Nose Day and a Macmillan Coffee Morning.
A change in decade won’t stop Agility’s efforts to give something back. Already starting 2020 with volunteering in the kitchens for Maggs Day Centre in Worcester. As well as our on-going support for environmental causes and recycling crisp packets for the Kent Air Ambulance and collecting used stamps for Breast Cancer Research.
Sarah, who has been a part of Agility Group since February 2018 said: “Our teams across Agility Risk and Compliance, UK Fire Training Limited and Agility Fleet are always so busy, so I took the opportunity to drive our efforts to give something back.
“It’s incredible how we can impact and drive awareness for small organisations, just with a little bit of our time. It’s helped bring the team together whilst helping local causes with more than just finances.
“Hopefully, we can keep on doing all we can to help and show that we’re more than just a business, we’re part of the local community.”
Overall, Agility Group primary focus was to see how we could support by raising awareness and providing a helping hand not just by fund raising for charitable causes but be involved in the local community is high on our list of priority.
